Amos has a total of five siblings, two sisters and three brothers: Taliece, Shateice, Mario, Devon, and Marvin. His sisters are both older and one brother who is older. Amos lives with his mother, Patricia, and two younger brothers. His father, Marvin Thomas, died June 6, 2011.
Amos played football for three years in high school all as part of the varsity team. In his first year at Loyola he played strong safety and wide receiver. He had 700+ yards receiving, 8 touchdowns and 52 tackles and 3 interceptions. As a junior, he had 400+ yards receiving, 5 interceptions and 23 tackles. As a senior, he had 700+ yards receiving 12 touchdowns on 28 receptions and 34 tackles. Amos was named team captain in both his junior and senior seasons.
In his freshman year Amos ran track. He was also a dedicated weight lifter for all four years.
Amos thanked “my coaches. They’ve all helped me so much in the past three years. I also thank all my teachers. Without them I would not get anywhere in life, and my mom and dad for taking care of me and for supporting me. I thank my little brothers; they were the ones to give me the motivation to keep playing and be a great role model for them.”
