Ahmad began his football career as a seventh grader at Lowrey Middle School. He began his varsity career, at Fordson High School, as a junior and played a huge role for the team as he started at both offensive and defensive tackle. He was awarded Most Potential Junior and Most Valuable Offensive Lineman. He continued working hard during the offseason and was named team captain his senior year. By the end of the season, he racked up 63 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, and he even returned one fumble for a touchdown. The team voted him MVP, Most Valuable Offensive and Most Valuable Defensive Lineman. Ahmad’s football career at Fordson High School is nothing short of an amazing experience.

Ahmad was also part of Fordson’s basketball team. As a senior, he was named captain of the basketball team. He has been part of Link Crew for 2 years and Peer Mediation for one year. Ahmad always tries giving back to his community by logging in over 500 hours of community service. He has been part of STLF for 3 years. It is a trip, during spring break, in which he travels across the country performing community service projects with groups of students from around the city.

Ahmad thanked his family first and foremost for their endless support. He also thanked his friends for being in the stands every week. He gave special thanks to coaches Zaban and Hamid for “pushing me all year long to be the best football player I can be. It not only made me a better player but a better person as well.” Lastly, Ahmad thanked his teammates for pushing him every day in practice and “not giving me a play off”. He said, “That not only made me a better player, but it made Fordson a better team.”
