Adam is the son of Dan and Dana Coon. He has two younger siblings, Rachel (16) and Madeline (12).

Adam started playing football in the fourth grade in Fowlerville’s Community Education program. Due to the weight limit he was moved up to the next age group playing with kids 2-3 years older than him. His size kept him with the same group of kids until they reached high school. When Adam entered high school, he was moved up to play on the varsity team even though he was only a freshman. Once on the team, he earned a starting spot on the offensive line where he stayed throughout the rest of his high school career. In the third game of his freshman year, Adam started on both sides of the ball as an offensive and defensive lineman. In his sophomore year, Adam was moved to the linebacker position as both an inside and outside linebacker. He played there through the rest of high school. His junior year, he was voted MVP of the football team and his senior year he was the team’s defensive player of the year as well as voted team captain.

Other than football, Adam participated in wrestling and track. In wrestling he was a four-time state champion in division two, as well as a Fila Cadet Pan-American champion and Fila Cadet World Champion in Freestyle. In track he was a two time all state thrower in the shot taking 6th place his sophomore and junior years in high school. Adam was also a member of the National Honors Society.

“I thank my parents for pushing me to be the best in anything I do. Whether it was sports or school I was taught to strive for perfection. I also thank my friends and family for all the support. I thank my coaches for pushing me to be my best as a person as well as on the field. Lastly, I thank God for giving me my athletic abilities to use in his name and for his purpose.”
