In eighth grade Aaron fractured his elbow and debated playing football in high school. When he did decide to play it was midway through conditioning. His good friend told him to, “just come and see how you would like it.” After that day, he has “been trying as hard as I could to fulfill my full potential, take coaching and stay humble. My high school career was a big part in my life and made me see how much people take for granted and to live every moment to the best because sooner or later, it will be gone.”
Aaron also played basketball. He was varsity his freshman year and each year after as a starter. As a senior his goal was to be the all time scorer at Groves and help the team to win a championship.
Aaron thanked Coach Ali, “who helped me and gave me direction to what I have had to do to become the best I can be and telling me if I did these things that he could get me into a good school.” He also thanked Coach Windom, “for being a guy I could turn to for help with my strength and my speed. At anytime he would drop what he was doing just to help me out. Lastly, I thank my parents for being role models and strong individuals and for making situations that I’m having problems with better and trying to make me laugh. I love you Mom and Dad!
