Aaron Roelfs

Aaron played on the varsity football team at Erie-Mason for four years, and started at quarterback for three years. During his sophomore season, he helped the Eagles go undefeated during the regular season and into the third round of the playoffs, finishing 11-1. During his junior season, he again led the Eagles to an undefeated regular season and into the fourth round of the playoffs before falling to Jackson Lumen Christi in the semi-finals. The Eagles finished their 2003 season 12-1. His senior season, he led the Eagles to a 5-4 record, just missing the playoffs. Aaron was first team All League quarterback his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons; first team All Region quarterback and defensive back as a junior and senior; and first team All State quarterback in Division 5 for the Detroit Free Press  his senior season. Aaron was also recognized by the Toledo Chapter of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame as a Scholar Athlete and awarded his conference’s Sportsmanship Award.

 

Aaron also participated in basketball and track all four years of high school. In basketball, he started as a forward during his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons and was selected first team All League and All Region his senior year. Aaron ran track all four years of high school and was first team All League in the high jump his junior season.

 

Aaron has been active as a student council representative and National Honor Society vice president. He also volunteered for the Special Olympics and the elementary tutor program at his school. Aaron had a  gpa of 4.0 and was his class valedictorian.

 

Aaron thanked his family, coaches, teammates, and community for all of the support he received during his high school career as a Mason Eagle. Aaron will play football at the University of Iowa.
