Aaron is the son of Tom and Linda Mick. He has a younger sister Erica (12) and a younger brother Evan (7).

Aaron’s football career began his freshman year of high school. The football team was scoring five or more touchdowns per game and they could not put an extra point through the uprights. The athletic director approached Aaron because of his strong leg on the varsity soccer team and asked him if he would be interested in trying the kicking position in football. On the third game of the season after playing varsity soccer, Aaron made it just in time for kickoff of his first varsity football game. Much to the joy of the coaches, Aaron connected for 5 out of 7 extra points with no prior football experience. He went on to score the school’s first field goal and help lead the team to a victory in their playoff game that season by going 3 for 3 on extra points to win 21 to 20. On September 25, 2010, Aaron connected for a school record 53 yard field goal, 16th longest in MHSAA history.

In addition to football Aaron carried a 4.17 gpa and was co-captain of the varsity soccer team and varsity basketball team in 2010. He also played infield on the varsity baseball team. Aaron was VP of Student Council throughout high school. He was a member of the NHS, and was involved in Student Leadership. He earned various academic awards in his four years of high school.

“Most of all, I would like to thank God for giving me the ability and opportunity to play football. I also want to thank my mom, dad, sister and brother for always being so supportive, they were my biggest fans, and always were there for me. I would like to thank the athletic director who sought me out and gave me an opportunity that lead me to this point. To my soccer coaches and football coaches for working together and making a same season dual sport athlete out of me, I thank you. I would like to thank all of my coaches over the years, who have taught me much more than a game, but also how to grow in character and my relationship with Jesus Christ. I greatly appreciate the unconditional support I got from my friends and teammates because I could not have made it this far without them. Friday night football games will always be one of my greatest high school memories, I will never forget. Finally, I would like to thank the entire Parkway community for their love and support.”
