The Detroit Lions are excited to announce a new program to highlight and support high school football in the state of Michigan.
The Detroit Lions High School Football Game of the Week, presented by Sam Bernstein Law, will travel to nine different Michigan communities during the high school football season to promote and capture the excitement, enthusiasm and community pride that Michigan High School football provides.
Each week, the Lions will have a pre-game and first half activation tent including giveaways, T-shirts, contests and more. In addition, the home and away team will receive a grant of $500 for use within their football program.
Weekly matchups will be highlighted on the Detroit Lions Football Education webpage at www.DetroitLions.com/footballeducation as well as social media pages, which can be found @Lionsyouthfb on Instagram and X and at Detroit Lions Youth Football on Facebook.

The Detroit Lions High School Football Game of the Week, presented by Sam Bernstein Law, is yet another program conducted by the Detroit Lions highlighting Michigan high school football. The Lions also oversee the Detroit Lions High School Football Coach of the Week/Year program, heading into its 30th season as well as the Michigan Girls High School Flag Football League, which concluded its’ fourth season with 80 Michigan high schools participating during the spring of 2026.
