Rob’s parents are Alison and Duncan Boughton. He has one sister, Hannah, and two brothers, David and Matt.

Rob started playing football in seventh grade. He played on the junior varsity team as a freshman and on the varsity as a center, guard and defensive tackle starting in his sophomore year. Rob was named All Conference twice, All Area and First Team All State. He also earned the team’s Leadership Award and Pancake Awards.

Boughton also played golf, track and hockey at Haslett.

Rob said, ” I give special thanks to my family and all my coaches and teammates who have helped shape me into the player and person I am now. Also a special thanks to my mom and dad who have made all of this possible. Next year I’ll attend Central Michigan University where I plan to pursue a pre-physicians assistant degree.
