Lance enjoyed an outstanding career in athletics at Grand Blanc High School earning 10 varsity letters. Lance was a four-year varsity letter winner and an All State performer in track, a three-year varsity letter winner on a ranked basketball team, including two years as a starter, and a three-year varsity letter winner in football, playing on both offense and defense. Lance was also an exceptional soccer player in junior high.
While excelling in several sports, football is Lance’s passion. He was team captain and team MVP in his junior and senior years. In his junior year, Lance enjoyed the success of his team winning its first conference title in nineteen years, as well as the district championship. One of Lance’s most memorable moments was in a game against conference rival Powers Catholic, when he caught the go-ahead touchdown pass in overtime and from his cornerback position, batted down the final pass of the game for the victory!
Lance thanked his parents for modeling for him the value of establishing goals and working hard to accomplish them. He also recognized the efforts of his coaches and thanked his aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents for supporting him by attending his games. Lance will attend Hillsdale College with plans to major in history and psychology.
