Joe is the son of Chris and Jodie Vieau. He has two siblings, a brother Nick (19) and sister Katie (15).

Joe has been playing the offensive line since his playing days began. Joe played on the junior varsity as a freshman. As a sophomore, Joe started at right tackle for the Chemics. He anchored the offensive line at center as a junior and senior.   He never missed a snap in his high school career.   He helped the Chemics win a district title in 2009. Joe was a two-time selection to First Team All-Conference as well as a two-time selection to the Midland Daily News Area Dream Team.   As a senior, he was voted team captain as well as being the recipient of the Howard Mudd Award, recognizing the offensive lineman of the year.

Joe was a member of the National Honor Society. In addition to football, he played four years of basketball, three years of baseball and one season of track.

Joe thanked his parents for “their love and support”, and his teammates and friends “for pushing me to be the best I could be”. He also thanked the coaches who pushed him, and everyone who helped out during practices and games. Without them, “I could have never have gotten as far as I have.”

Joe will pursue an engineering degree at Michigan Tech.
