Jeremy Byers is the son of Jon and Darlene. He has an older brother; Jason (20) who played football for Dakota. He also has a sister: Nicole (8), and a step-brother; Blake (13). 

 

Jeremy started playing flag football when he was 7 years old for a recreational team. He started playing tackle football and basketball in 7th grade. He played outside linebacker. In 7th and 8th grade Jeremy’s teams went undefeated in every football and basketball game. 

 

Jeremy played all 4 years in the Dakota football program and was a 2 year starter on the varsity team. Half way through Jeremy’s freshman season he got moved up to junior varsity to play quarterback. The next year Jeremy was moved to tight end and that is where he played for the rest of his high school career. Jeremy’s senior year on varsity he was named a captain and was said to be “one of the best run blocking tight ends to ever play at Dakota”.  He was named Impact player of the year and Offensive Lineman of the Year. 

 

Throughout Jeremy’s entire high school career he played freshman basketball, and competes in the annual Dodge ball competition. Jeremy is also a member of the National Honor Society. 

 

Jeremy would like to thank all of his family and friends for “attending every football game and for always supporting me”. He would also like to thank all of the coaches of the Dakota football program for pushing him and developing him into the athlete and person he is today.
