David was a three-year starter for the Wildcats at linebacker and safety. During his three years on varsity he totaled over 160 tackles. On offense he played running back and wide receiver and returned kicks and punts as well. David was elected captain his junior and senior years. He was a four year Iron Man Award winner (never missed a practice or game). He was selected All Conference his senior year and made the 1st team All Courier Leader. He was also highlighted as one of the top ten players to watch in West Michigan by the Kalamazoo Gazette.
David played three years of varsity basketball and was elected captain his junior and senior years. His senior year he was selected All Conference Honorable Mention. David is very active in his church youth group and has been involved in many different activities such as Special Olympics and Habit for Humanity.
David will play football at Central Michigan University and major in business or education. David thanked his parents, “for being the most inspirational people in my life.” He thanked Katy Murray and all the people from Life Teen at Church, “who have made a huge impact on me as a person.” David also thanked God, saying, “Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:57) You have always provided for me and I will continue to trust in You.”
