As a freshman, Chad played on the Junior Varsity until moving up and starting at center for the last three games of the varsity season. Chad then started at center for the Vikings for the next three years. All four years in high school, the Vikings went to the playoffs with a combined record of 35-10. The 2005 team was 13-1, finishing as state runners-up at Ford Field. Chad was the team captain his junior and senior seasons. As a senior, Chad was voted Offensive Most Valuable Player by the coaches.
Chad also participated in basketball in high school, playing for the varsity his junior and senior seasons. He maintained a 4.0 grade point average and was a member of the National Honor Society.
Chad thanked his family for “supporting me over the years.” He gave “a special thanks to Coach Otlewski and the Viking staff for a great high school experience.” He also thanked his teammates for the great memories.
Chad will attend college and continue his football career.
