Casey started at tight end and linebacker for the Mt. Pleasant Oilers in both his junior and senior seasons. In his junior year, Casey tallied 119 tackles and was fourth on the team in receiving yards. Casey was selected as a captain his senior year, during which he amassed 91 tackles and sat on the bench in the second half of many lopsided games. He led the team in tackles as both a junior and a senior. Casey was also number two in receiving yards for the Oilers with just 12 receptions and 3 touchdowns. He was selected team Co-MVP and was the first, two-year winner of the Captain Crunch award, which is the team’s hardest hitter award.

Casey ran track for the Oilers his junior year and played basketball his senior year. In 2006, his first year, he cleared a high jump of 6’1″. In basketball he contributed as a important presence on the boards and by playing good defense.

Casey thanked his parents for their support “both on and off the field.” He thanked his family and friends for, “cheering me on at every game.” He also thanked Coach McIntyre for, “always being there for me during my tough times with health issues.” He also thanked his teammates for, “giving me the best experience of my life.”
Casey will attend Central Michigan University next fall to play football.
