Coach Lemons graduated from Holly HS in 1991 where he played two sports for the Bronchos, football and baseball. He continued on to Oakland University where he earned a BA in Human Resources and lettered on the baseball team. After graduating from OU, Lemons went on to earn his teaching certification and Masters in Sports Administration from Eastern Michigan University.

Coach Lemons has coached for 18 years.  He served as an Assistant Coach for programs at Holly HS, Linden HS, Whitmore Lake HS, and Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard. His first Head Coaching opportunity came at Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard for the 2008 season.  Since taking over the as Head Coach at AAGR, he has amassed a 51-16 record and has led his teams to the MHSAA playoffs each of his six seasons as Head Coach. Coach Lemons was selected as the Area Coach of the Year in 2008,2009, 2010 and received the MHSAA Regional Coach of the Year Honors in 2009, 2010, and 2012. In addition, he has earned Catholic League Coach of the year in 2009, 2010, and 2013.

Coach Lemons is the Physical Education Teacher at Whitmore Lake HS where he coaches their very successful Boy’s and Girl’s Power Lifting teams. He began coaching baseball at Whitmore Lake during the 2013 season.

Brian is married. He and his wife of 15 years, Wendy, are blessed with two beautiful children, Evelynn 10 and Bronx 3. He said, “I am grateful for the support and sacrifice my family provides during my time coaching multiple sports in the area. I am extremely honored to be a part of the first team to represent Michigan at the Border Classic”.
