Brett was a 2-year starter on varsity for Eisenhower High School. His senior year he was voted as captain of the team. One of his main goals during the football season was to win as a team. Because of this attitude, Brett was awarded MVP of the special teams. To finish the season, Brett had earned the respect of his coaches and teammates.
Brett’s favorite football memory was the biggest team victory Eisenhower experienced during the 2004 season. Eisenhower was playing their cross-town rival, Stevenson High School. The Eagles defeated the Titans by a score of 17-14 thanks to a 47 yard field goal during the closing minutes of play. The 2003 season ended with 11 for 17 on field goals and a 36.5 punting average. As a senior, Brett converted 10 for 17 on field goals and had a 41.2 punt average. His longest was a 48 yard field goal and an 83 yard punt.
Brett was in high school track and travel soccer. He has been playing soccer since he was four years old.
Brett thanked his coaches, Bob Lantzy, Terry Copaeia, Chris Smith and the rest of the coaching staff, “for giving me the chance to succeed in the Eisenhower football program. My football experience at Eisenhower is something that I will never forget. I also want to thank my parents, grandparents, family and all of my friends for supporting me throughout my high school career.”
