Aaron is the son of Robert and Vicki Matthias.  He has two brothers and three sisters.  His older brother, Zac, is in his senior year at the University of Wisconsin on a football scholarship.   His older sister graduated from Michigan Technological University.

Aaron began playing football in the fifth grade, playing both offensively and defensively.  In his senior year, he made First  Team All Conference Offensive Line, First  Team All Conference Defensive Line, First Team All State Defensive Lineman and was named to the Saginaw News and Midland News Dream Team.  He also appeared in the Sports Scene Newspaper.  

Aaron has also played basketball since kindergarten and participated in track and field.  He was named second Team All Conference in his senior year in basketball.  He was also a member of the National Honor Society.

Aaron thanked his family, his youth football coaches, and “all those who have supported me throughout mycareer.”  He will attend Saginaw Valley State University for Mechanical Engineering on a football scholarship.
