2011 Aaron Berthet

Aaron is the son of Debra Benoit and Edward Berthet. He has two sisters, Mia (9) , and Kaitlyn (5). He also has a younger brother Joey (17). His grandparents are Mary and Earnest Berthet, and Eva and Jerry Benoit.

Aaron has been playing football since the seventh grade at Bemis Jr. High. He played on both sides of the ball in seventh and eighth grade and his eighth grade coach discovered his kicking capabilities. He then played kicker/punter in eighth grade, breaking all the Bemis records. Then in ninth grade, he played the first half of the season on the freshman team at Ford as a kicker and wide receiver. His previous coach, Jay Anthes, called him up to the varsity squad to handle the kickoff responsibilities for the rest of his freshman year. In tenth grade, Aaron handled all kicking responsibilities including punting. This continued in eleventh and twelfth grade. He was Second Team All Macomb County as a Junior. As a Senior, Aaron was second team all county and a state honorable mention. Aaron also got some time in at wide receiver and safety in his junior and senior years.

Aaron thanked his family for “putting up with me and dedicating much of their time and money to my football years and camps.” Aaron also thanked all of his coaches for “teaching me the ins and outs of the game and helping me to practice harder.”
