Zachary will continue his football career as a Center this fall, at Siena Heights University. He plans to major in business. Zachary was a three-year starter with the Hudson Tiger Varsity football team. Guided and molded by Coach Luma, he made his mark as a right tackle in his sophomore year where he achieved Second Team All County Offensive Lineman. From there, still under Luma’s watch, things only got better. By Zach’s junior year he took to the field as starting center for the Tigers. He assisted the Tigers that year on their journey to a Ford Field State Football Championship Game appearance in Division 7. They finished 2009 as runners-up and in 2010 they were State Champions. Zach has earned numerous awards along the way. He was MVP, First Team All County offensive and defensive lineman and Associated Press Special Mention All State offensive lineman.

In addition to his football career, Zachary was also a four year starter on the Hudson varsity wrestling team. Zach wrestled at heavy weight, 285 lbs. and contributed to four of their five-time consecutive State Championships, 2009-2013 . He was also a four-time All State Heavyweight wrestler.

Zachary said, “I know I could not have achieved such a memorable high school athletic career without the help of my coaches, especially Coach Luma, Coach Rogers, Coach Marry, the Principal Lance Horwath and the Superintendent Michael Osborn, all of whom played a vital role in my success as both an athlete and a student. Zachary gave a special “shout out” to all of his teammates he had throughout the years, each put their hearts and hard work out every day. Zachary “found a great home within the Hudson Community.” He said, “Thank you to everyone who supported me over the years and thank you to all the great fans.” He also thanked all of his sponsors who supported him by purchasing ads in this program, “Thank you for your sincere generosity and support, I will never forget what you have done for me”. And finally, Zach thanked his parents and sister “for being there for me, for supporting me and guiding me through some of the best years of my life.”
