Tyler didn’t start playing football until his junior year because of chronically bad knee problems.  He started as a junior and was part of the second play-off team in school history.  In his senior year, they made it back-to-back play-off appearances, the first time that had happened in Saugatuck football history.

In high school, Tyler played basketball all four years and on the varsity team starting in his sophomore season.  He started participating in track as well as football in his junior year.  As a senior he played baseball for the first time. Tyler was captain of the basketball and football teams as a senior.

Tyler thanked “all my coaches for pushing me to be the best I can be.”  He also thanked “my parents, because without their support, I could not have accomplished anything.” Tyler will attend Western Michigan University and study physical education.
