Playing with the Barracudas helped set the foundation for his football career. He played his middle school ball at Kennedy Middle School. As a freshman at Lake Shore High School Travis was brought up to varsity for the play-offs.  As a sophomore, Travis only played three games on JV before getting brought up onto varsity. As a junior and senior, Travis played offense, defense and special teams. As a senior Travis carried the ball 205 times for 1030 yards, and had 10 catches for 99 yards. On defense he had 41 tackles, 9 tackles for a loss, 6 sacks, 2 forced fumbles. He averaged 5.63 yards per carry for his career at Lake Shore.

Travis was also a four year letterman in wrestling  where he was a 2012 regional qualifier at 189 lbs.

Travis thanked, “my Mom for teaching me to always set goals and my dad for helping me reach them.” He thanked, “my whole family that that came and cheered me on, especially my Uncle Alex  who never missed a game since 8th grade and my Uncle Chuck for all his wisdom and advise.” He thanked, “the entire Lake Shore Nation for a great four years, all your support is greatly appreciated.  I wish Lake Shore football good luck in the years to come.”
