Tony was a three-year varsity football starter at L’Anse Creuse High School in Harrison Township. He is an exceptional athlete with the ability to play many different positions. As a senior he played TE, RB, WR, DE, LB, QB, and DB. Subbing in for an injured RB at the end of the third quarter, Tony rushed for 266 yards and three TD’s in just over one quarter of play vs. Grosse Pointe South. His flexibility and head for the game allowed him to catch 27 passes for 625 yards and rush for 537 yards for a total of 13 TD’s in his senior year. He was a two-year varsity captain, team MVP 2005, and team Offensive MVP 2005.

In addition to earning three varsity letters in football, Tony also claims a varsity letter in basketball and baseball. He carried a 3.37 GPA and clocked over 80 hours of community service during his high school career.

Tony thanked his family for their unconditional support, for believing in him and encouraging him to follow his dream. He thanked his coaches and teammates for helping him achieve his goal of taking his game to the next level and keeping the “Lancer Pride” alive. He also thanked the many friends who supported him in this game including: the L’Anse Creuse Boosters, the Quarterback Club, Chris LaBelle of LaBelle Electric, Paul DeMaster of DeMaster Electric, the Wickershams and the Lashleys of Ultimate Sports Arena in Chesterfield Township, and the Nuyttens of Scott Mechanical Heating and A/C.
