Takudzwa (TK) a Zimbabwe native, is the son of Isaac and Ruth Kubvoruno. He has two brothers, Tinashe (20), and Takunda(7).

Takudzwa started his football career his freshman year at Gull Lake High School having never played football before. TK was a three-year starting wide receiver and defensive back for the Gull Lake varsity football team. Throughout those three years Takudzwa placed himself in Gull Lake’s record book. Takudzwa was named First Team All Conference, All Area, and All State Honorable Mentions by the Detroit Free Press. Takudzwa was also named Wide Receiver MVP at the NUC Underclassmen Combine. The Midwest Ultimate 100 Combine, and the Next Level Combine.

Takudzwa also participated in track. He has a passion for long jump and in his junior year he qualified for States. TK also has a passion for DECA, where he qualified for States at the regional event and then won the State Championship in Sports and Entertainment. This led to his qualification for Nationals.

TK said, “First and foremost I thank God. Without him none of my success would have been possible. I also thank my family in the States and back home in Zimbabwe. They have been supportive of everything I do, for that I am grateful. A special thanks goes to the Gull Lake football community and for those who supported the program through thick and thin. We appreciate it. I also thank my teammates for a memorable four years of football. Last but certainly not least, I thank my coaches, starting with my head coach Mark Blaesser, my position coach Mr. Boerman, my defensive coach Mr. Meadows and Mr. Keck.”
