Tim was a three-year starter for the Linden Eagles.  As a sophomore, Tim started as an offensive guard and was named First Team All Flint Metro League.  In his junior year, he started on both sides of the ball, eventually being named first team all Flint Metro League unanimously for both offensive guard and defensive end.  During his senior season, Tim captained the team and moved from defensive end to strong side linebacker.  He was named first team All Flint Metro League unanimously as an offensive guard and linebacker.  Tim was also named First Team All State by the Detroit Free Press. In Tim’s three year career with the Eagles, he helped lead the team to a 22-8 record and three consecutive state playoff appearances.

 

In addition to playing football, Tim also played basketball for three years.  He earned All State in the 220 pound weight class for power lifting in 2003.  Tim also stood out in the classroom, maintaining a 3.86 gpa.  In 2004, Tim was named to the All State Academic Team.  He was a two year member of the Linden High School National Honor Society and a member of the student council.  Tim was also selected as a Kiwanis Club student-athlete of the month in November. 

 

Tim thanked his parents for, “pushing me to become the best I can be at every aspect of life.  My mom has been supporting me since day one and always helps to guide me in the right direction.  From the weight room to the field, my dad has always been my biggest inspiration to become a better player.”  He thanked his coaches, Dennis Hopkins, Steve Spencer, Jeff Krause, and Tim Hibbard for “helping me to become the player I am today.” He expressed thanks to the teaching staff at Linden High School.  Tim also thanked his teammates for everything he has accomplished, “I’ll have memories that will last for the rest of my life.”
