High School Coach: James Stickney

High School: Grant High School, B

College: Ferris State University

Thad is the son of Chris and Dave Cook. He has one older sister Tiffany.

Thad began his football career in the Grant Rocket football program. He began playing sports in earnest in his freshman year. He started both ways for most of his freshman year, but then really excelled at offensive tackle. He played his last three years of football primarily at right tackle. He finished his senior year as First Team All Conference, and First Team All Area. He was signed by Ferris State University on a partial scholarship.

Thad also played basketball his freshman and sophomore years. Then he was told that wrestling was great for his football skills, so in his junior and senior years he wrestled. He developed quickly and finished his first year with 16 wins and 15 losses. His senior year he finished Second Team All Conference and with 30 wins and 11 losses.

Thad first thanked “God for blessing me with a very supportive family. I also would thank Grant’s coaching staff, who worked diligently with all of us team members, on both football skills and life skills.” Thad also thanked his friends and teammates for supporting him.
