Steve has been a successful athlete since the age of five. In addition to football, Steve has played  hockey, baseball, lacrosse, basketball, and track. His travel hockey team won two state titles and competed  for their age group’s National Championship in Philadelphia. Steve began playing football in seventh  grade and was a four-year starter at Shrine. Steve started at quarterback his sophomore, junior and senior  years. Steve also played defense for those three years and was a captain in both his junior and senior years. As a junior,  Steve threw 15 touchdowns, had 8 rushing touchdowns and 2 interceptions. During his senior year, Steve  accumulated over 2,500 total yards while throwing for 17 touchdowns, rushing for 13 more and  intercepting 5 passes, 2 of which he returned for touchdowns.

Steven also played basketball during his first three years at Shrine, but unfortunately, missed playing his  senior year due to a broken hand and wrist he suffered in Shrine’s Division 7, Regional Football  Championship game.

Steven thanked his family and friends, “for always supporting me.” He gave special  thanks to Coach Goddard, “for always having confidence in me, Gloria for always supporting me, Gil and  Marty for traveling so far to see me play, Grandma Alice, Aunt Ellen and Uncle Bill for their great  support.”
