In his senior year, Scott was the team’s Defensive Captain and was awarded the Hammer Award for the 2005 season as the Outstanding Defensive Player on the team. He finished with 100 total tackles (45 solos), two caused fumbles, two recovered fumbles, three interceptions, four sacks and six quarterback pressures. Scott also broke the school’s record for most tackles for a loss, with 20 for a minus eighty yards. He was awarded The Monroe Evening News All County First Team Linebacker and was First Team Southeastern Conference on Defense.

Scott was also a four-time letterman in wrestling and a two time state qualifier. He lettered in track his freshman year and was awarded Most Improved Distance Runner of the Year by his coaches.

Scott said, “I thank my parents for all the hard work they put into each football season. I also thank my coaches Craig Trychel (Head Coach) and especially Coach Burnzy (Defensive Coordinator) for putting in all the time so that I knew what I had to know to excel in the linebacker position. I appreciate everything you guys have done for me and I’ll never forget you.”
