Ryan started playing football in the sixth grade as a quarterback for a youth league in the Linden/Fenton area.  At Linden High School he played his freshman and sophomore years on JV starting at running back and safety.  Ryan then played two years on varsity as a starting running back, safety, and wide receiver.  His athleticism and leadership qualities were developed by Coach Denny Hopkins, Coach Nick Douglas, and the Linden assistant coaches. He was privileged to have opportunities as team captain and was the team MVP.

Ryan played AYSO soccer from age 3 to 12.  He is an avid skier, particularly at the terrain parks. Ryan was a member of the 2015 Linden High 4 x 400 squad which finished first in the Flint Metro League and was a State qualifier. Besides athletics, Ryan participated at his church, Hope Lutheran, as a Vacation Bible School team leader and assisted yearly with Christmas Express, a community food program.

Ryan thanked God, his coaching staff, his mom and dad, Pastor Jim, family, and friends for their love and support.  He is very appreciative of the opportunities he has been given to participate in football, to compete, and to develop his talents. Ryan is enrolled at Central Michigan University to study Business and Entrepreneurship.
