Rory graduated from Grand Rapids Union HS in 1994 where he played football, basketball, and baseball. Rory attended Grand Valley State University on a football scholarship. Rory played football and baseball at GVSU. He earned his B.S. degree 1999. Rory is pursuing his MA. in Sport Studies at Western Michigan University.

Rory started teaching in West Ottawa in 2000. He has been coaching football at West Ottawa for the last 8 years, as well as, coaching the junior varsity baseball team. While coaching at West Ottawa, “I have had the opportunity to work very closely with Jim Caserta in both football and baseball. He has helped me mature as both a coach and individual. I appreciate all he has done for me and owe him greatly for the coach I am today.”

Rory’s wife is Jodie. He has a son Tommy (5), a daughter Reilly (2), and a new baby [which was] due in the spring of 2007. Rory thanked his family for, “all the sacrifices they make allowing me to coach and for the their support.”
Rory thanked Jim Caserta and the coaches association for the opportunity to work with the best football players in the state of Michigan, as well as, some of the best football coaches. “This will truly be an awesome, memorable experience.”
