Pete McCabe

Pete has played football since middle school. When he came to high school, “I quickly learned how hard I would have to work to be successful.” He and his teammates “worked very hard to turn South Lake’s program around.” Pete was a three-year starter. He started on the offensive line his sophomore and junior years. He was named captain his senior year and started on both sides of the ball. He was also voted team MVP and received the Lancer Scholar Athlete award in his senior year.
Pete also played varsity baseball and swam in his junior and senior years. He will play football at Albion College where he will work on a degree in education.
Pete thanked his mom and dad, “for always being there for me.” He also thanked the entire McCabe and Chinzi families for their support. Pete gave, “a big thanks to my friends and the whole student body at South Lake for supporting my team.” He thanked Coach Patterson and the coaching staff and the team for all their help and “great times we had together.”
