Paul began his football career with the DeWitt Jr. Panther football program in the fourth grade. He played three years of varsity football for DeWitt High School as a center, offensive tackle and defensive end. His teams achieved three conference championships. In his senior year his team advanced to the state semi-final game. Paul was voted team captain and Most Valuable Player by his teammates in 2008 and 2009. Paul received the CAAC All Academic award in 2007, 2008, and 2009.

Paul also participated in JV baseball in 2007, JV basketball in 2007 and 2008 and varsity basketball in 2009 and 2010.

Paul will attend Northwestern University and pursue a degree in engineering. He said, “I wouldn’t be where I am today without the overwhelming support from my parents. They are special people and mean the world to me. Thank you for all the support over the years and for the hours upon end sitting in the bleachers watching me.” He also thanked DeWitt High School’s head football coach, Rob Zimmerman for his support and guidance, “during my high school years. I’m very grateful for all of the support from him, as well as all of DeWitt High School’s coaches, teachers, and administrators who have helped develop me into the player I am today, and more importantly the person I am today.”
