Otis was a three-year varsity player at free safety and wide receiver. Otis’ participation in football began very early in life. Otis said, “Football and its demands have challenged my growth as a man and has ultimately prepared me for the discipline that life requires.”

 

Otis has turned out to be an exceptional singer as well as an actor. He was selected for the lead role in Carman Ainsworth’s theatre production of “Footloose.” Otis was also a two-year member of the Carman Ainsworth Chorale. He was also the director and participant in the young men’s praise dance teams (Men of Valor and Fresh Fire) for Foss Avenue Baptist Church. He is a regular attendee at Sunday School and a member of United Voices of Praise (the youth choir). He is also a member of the Genesee County Fraternity Group Alpha Esquires.

 

Otis said, “I give all the praise to God for blessing me abundantly.” He also, “thanked God for blessing me with loving, hardworking and devoted parents that have supported me in all of my many endeavors. To my extended family, I will forever remember the constant love and support.” He gave special thanks to the Cavalier fans and coaches for all of their support and encouraging words and to his teammates for unforgettable seasons.
