Norman started his football career with the Southfield Lathrup Falcons
little league team and ended up at Birmingham Groves for his high
school years.  As a sophomore, he started at linebacker on varsity.
Norman played all four years at Birmingham Groves, "it has been the
greatest experience of my life thus far." As a senior he was named
captain, "I had the pleasure to lead the great group of guys on my
team. If it weren't for my teammates, I wouldn't be where I am today."
Norman was a three-year letter winner, moving up to varsity as a
freshman for playoffs.  During his sophomore year on varsity, he
played linebacker and special teams. As a junior, linebacker, and
wing-back and his senior year, he played linebacker, running back and
special teams. He earned the Most Valuable Back award from his
teammates as a senior. Norman broke two records; single-season tackles
151 and career tackles 362.
 
Norman thanked, "my brother Tyson who also played for Groves. He
played linebacker, and I owe a lot to him because he prepared me for
high school football. Tyson was an all-league, all-area player, who
