Nick Matich is the son of Kirk and Sandy Matich. Nick is the middle child of three. His special needs sister, Amber, is 22 years old and is his biggest fan! His younger brother, Adam, attends Clarkston High School and has played side by side with Nick on the football field for the past 3 years. His grandfather and grandmother live in the same hometown along with his large extended family.
Nick has played football since he was 8 years old. He started on the varisty team as a freshman. Nick was elected by his teammates to be the Captain of the varsity squad in both his junior and senior years. In his senior year, he helped lead his team to win the State Championship. Nick was named all metro, all county, all state and all state dream team for 2 consecutive years.
Nick stated at his awards banquet that “I am thankful to my coaches, team and family for their support.”
