As a sophomore, Nathan played and started as linebacker for the varsity Chiefs, leading the team in tackles from his middle linebacker position, and receiving the team’s MVP and most valuable linebacker awards. In his junior year, Nathan started as both linebacker and fullback and received most valuable linebacker and led in tackles on the team once again. During his senior season, Nathan topped off his high school career by leading in rushing yards, number of touchdowns, and number of tackles, once again he received awards by his teammates for most valuable player, linebacker and fullback. Nathan was also a two-year captain.

Nathan also was a three-year starter for the Chiefs in basketball at the low post position, and in baseball as a pitcher and catcher. In his free time he loves to fish and hunt. His future plans include playing football at Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, Illinois, where he hopes to major in secondary education/coaching. He has two younger sisters, and a younger brother, who also are actively involved in a variety of sports.

He said, “I am grateful to coach, Jack Coon, my defensive and offensive coaches and teammates, and my family for the support and help I have received over the years.” He added, “I hope my passion for football will lead me to achieve success as I play football at college.”
