Michael started playing football in the 9th grade at Clintondale High School. As a freshman he was the starting running back. After game five he was moved to quarterback and also played defensiveback. His freshman season he passed for 12 TD’S and rushed 13 more. He had 54 tackles and 6 interceptions. After game six of his sophomore season he became the starting quarterback on the varsity team he also kicked and returned kicks and played running back. As a junior and team captain Michael led his team to a 11-2 record and scored 504 points, the most in Macomb County history. The team won the District Title and Michael made the All County Dream Team. Michael has the team record for rushing. He averaged 14.2 yards per carry for the season. Michael finished has varsity career with 2,846 passing yards, 3,688 rushing, 604 receiving yards, 477 punt return yards, 42 rushing TD’s and 27 passing TD’S and a school best 12.6 yards per carry career rushing average.

Michael was also a three-year letter winner in basketball, team captain and led the team in scoring and assists all three years. Michael was a four year letter winner in track. He has the school record in the 100 meters at 10.7 and is a four time state qualifier.

Michael will attend Western Michigan University on a football scholarship. He thanked his family, teammates, and the Clintondale staff for all their support. He gave a “special thanks to my mom and dad for always being there for me and helping me become the man I am today.” He ended by saying “I thank God for all the blessings that He has given me.”
