Mike started playing football at the age of nine for the PAL West Side Cubs. Mike has always had a passion for the game. Mike played all four years at Crockett on varsity as a Crockett Rocket. He helped Crockett win Division, City and Regional Championships during his tenure at Crockett Technical High School. He played center in his freshman and sophomore years and played defensive line in his junior and senior years. Mike had 156 tackles, 56 solo and 99 assists, 15 fumble recoveries, 2 pass breakups and 1 interception. Mike was named Captain in his senior year.
Mike has played many competitive sports including basketball, baseball and track and field.
Mike thanked “God for being the head of my life.” He also thanked his family, “for their unconditional love, support and motivation.” Mike thanked his mother, Ayana Hunt, brother Corey and sister Kierra. He also thanked his friends, coaches and the “Young Men of Excellence” for their encouragement and making his four years at Crockett memorable. A special thanks was given to, “my number one fan, my Great-Grandmother Ma.”
