Marvon was a four-year varsity starter in football, basketball and track at Ypsilanti High School. He started playing football at the age of nine in various leagues in Jackson, Lansing and three years with the Ypsilanti Huron Junior Braves. As a freshman, Marvon started as a wide receiver, kicker, punt returner and defense back for Ypsilanti. That year, he earned All Area and All Mega League Honorable Mention. As a sophomore, he was 1st Team All Mega and All Area Honorable Mention. At the end of his junior year, he was awarded Ann Arbor’s State Farm Athlete of the Year, 1st Team All Mega Conference, 1st Team All Area, 1st Team All Detroit Metro West and All State Honorable Mention. As a senior, Marvon earned 1st Team All Conference, All Ann Arbor News Area, Detroit News Division 3 All State and he was voted as MVP by his teammates and coaches.

Marvon will attend Eastern Michigan University on a football scholarship majoring in Sports Marketing.

Marvon’s 2006 and 2007 track teams won the Michigan Mega Conference Championship and captured a Division 2 State Championship in 2006. As a junior, Marvon finished in the long jump as the Division 2 State runner-up. In his sophomore, junior and senior years in basketball and track, he was All Mega Conference, All Area, and All State. Marvon was a four-year scholar athlete and will be the first athlete to earn twelve varsity letters at Ypsilanti High School. For four years, Marvon participated in the junior basketball camps for middle school athletes and was a student mentor at Ypsilanti High School.

Marvon said, “I wouldn’t be where I am without the great support from my family, relatives, friends, coaches and the community. Everyone has made my football experience amazing, an experience I’m blessed to have and one that will stay with me for a lifetime. This game has left me with great memories, and for that, I sincerely thank you.”
