Assistant Coach – Marty Castellon

Coach Castellon graduated from Lansing Catholic Central HS where he was selected to be part of the “Dream Team” in football and in baseball. Marty graduated from Olivet College where he was a captain in baseball and football. Marty has a Bachelor Degree in Education from Olivet College and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Wayne State University.

 This will be Marty’s 19th year of coaching football. He has coached in Lansing, Williamston, and Waterford and over 12 years at Walled Lake Western coaching the linebackers. He is also defensive coordinator for the Warriors. 

During Marty’s tenure at Western the Warriors have qualified for the state playoffs twelve times, won a state championship, three regional championships, and three district championships. 

Marty is married to Kelly. They have two children, Lauren, 14 and Ryan, 10. Lauren, just finished playing softball in the World Series. Ryan loves being the ball boy and enjoys hanging out with dad.

Marty said, “it is a blessing and an honor to coach in this game. It has always been a dream and goal.” He thanked his coaches, since age eight. He also thanked his family: his brothers, Ismael and Orlando, and sister, Haydee, for supporting him through the years. He also thanked the association “for allowing me to coach in this great game.”
