Marquis is the son of Stephanie Bridgeforth and Darnell Broach Sr. He has one sister, Alexus Bridgeforth,  and one brother, Darnell Broach Jr. 

 

Marquis started playing football when he was ten years old for the Pop Warner League.  He played high school football and ran track for the Westside Christian Academy Warriors. He played many possitions, his favorite being running back.

 

When he started playing football for Westside Christian Academy “it changed my life. I found Jesus Christ and this made me humble myself and help me deal with life and I learned how to connect with my teammates.” Marquis was featured in the Detroit News as the  Player of the Week for having 22 tackles in a game. He earned All State and All Conference recognition. 

 

Marquis said, “Growing, my family and I faced many hardships. I used playing football as an escape. I love football. It helped me shape my goals in life and I plan to accomplish every goal I set for myself.”
