Mark has played football for eleven years. He started three years on varsity, playing both sides of the ball. On offense he played fullback and a little tight end. On defense he was the leader at inside linebacker. Over his three-year career Mark collected over 300 tackles, setting a new record for career tackles at Truman. Mark was a two-year captain, two-time defensive MVP, and one-time teanferencem most valuable player.

Mark also participated in other sports at Truman. He was on the basketball team his freshman and sophomore years. On the track team Mark threw the shot until his junior year. Mark ended his senior year on the baseball team.

Mark thanked his teammates by saying, “Thanks to all you guys for all the memories and sticking together through the good and bad times.” To the coaches he said, “Thanks for pushing me and never letting me quit through the best four years of my life.” To his family, “if it wasn’t for your encouragement and advice I wouldn’t be the successful person I am today.”
