Luke started playing football in fourth grade. At the age of nine he went to the Silverdome and got second place in the state for Punt, Pass, and Kick. As a sophomore Luke started on varsity and played quarterback and safety. After starting his junior year 1-3 they rallied to win the next five games to win the conference championship and make the playoffs for the first time in six years. In his senior year he was a team captain. During his career with the Lakers, the team won two conference championships and qualified for the state playoffs twice.

Luke also played basketball, baseball, and track throughout his four years. He said, “I have a deep love for sports and this is why I am able to succeed.” Luke was also a member of Lakers National Honor Society, and maintained a 3.6 GPA. He also helped out in many youth sports programs “so that the Lakers can have many more years of success.”

Luke thanked, “my grandparents, brothers, and friends for all the support they have given me throughout high school.” He thanked “my high school coaches for pushing me to do my best and always putting me in the best positions to succeed.” He thanked “all the Laker fans who have supported and encouraged me through high school and gave a “special thanks to my Mom and Dad for raising me to be the best person I can be. “
