Lance Latkiewicz

Lance was a two-year starter and two-way player for the Jags. On offense he was part of an offensive line that led his team to an undefeated regular season. As a defensive tackle in 2003 he made 55 initial hits and had 91 assists for 146 total tackles. He also had 12 sacks, a blocked kick, a fumble recovery and one interception for a touchdown. The Jaguars had an undefeated regular season, were district champions, regional champions and played for the state championship.

 

      Lance also played hockey and baseball and threw the shot on the track team. Lance said, “I love to train at the gym with my good friend and elite powerlifter, John Zemmin. I also train for speed and agility with Jim Kielbaso.”

 

      Lance will attend Bowling Green State University where he has earned a full athletic scholarship. He said, “I look forward to playing defensively for the Falcons.” He also said, “I will always remember and respect my Allen Park coaches. They made my high school days enjoyable and rewarding.” Lance noted that he will forwever miss Coach Marten, “who passed away after an unbelievable battle with cancer.” He especially thanked Coach Hoover for everything he has done. “The whole community has been very supportive.”
