Lance Caldwell

Defensive Back

6’1″ 185 lbs.

High School Coach: Darrel Williams

High School: Trinity Catholic, D

College: Undecided

Lance began playing football at the age of eight with the Detroit Police Athletic League. He started playing high school football as a sophomore, when Coach George Sahadi, then of Bishop Gallagher and now known as Trinity Catholic High School, was head coach.

Lance began his football career at corner and also played on special teams. In his junior year, he played both sides of the ball as a receiver and as a corner. At the end of Lance’s junior year, the head coach and staff left. When this happened, Lance and his teammates became even more focused on their goal. In January of 2004 Darrel Williams and his staff were hired, “and the rest as they say … is history.”

During Lance’s senior year he was a captain and played many positions: wide receiver, wing back, corner, quarterback, linebacker, running back, defensive back, tight end, kick return, punt return, free safety, long snapper and special teams. Lance rushed for over 1,000 yards and had 20 touchdowns, and led his team to the regionals.

Lance gave special thanks to the sports writers and media for the credits and for their acknowledgment of his accomplishments throughout his student-athletic high school career.
