Keyante started playing football at the age of four. He played through elementary and middle school and then at Muskegon High School all four years.

In his senior season, he tallied 66 tackles at his safety position. He also racked-up four interceptions.

Keyante received three NCAA Division 2 football program offers, from Davenport University, Grand Valley State University and Ferris State University, before deciding to commit to FSU, wher he was given a scholarship to play football for the Bulldogs..
