Kevin began playing football at the age of eight, playing for the Dearborn Heights Raiders. As a freshman at Edsel Ford he played on the JV squad and was the team’s MVP. He started on varsity in his sophomore year at running back and at safety. His junior year, Kevin was team MVP gaining over 1,000 yards with 15 TD’s and leading his team defensively with 53 tackles. He was MVP again his senior year after gaining 1,379 yards with 22 TD’s. He had 85 tackles as well as 4 interceptions with 2 returned for TD’s. Kevin saved his best game for last when he broke his school’s single game rushing record in a losing effort against state finalist Inkster in the 2009 playoffs, rushing for 246 yards and 3 TD’s, with in tackles.

Kevin also earned a varsity letter in baseball playing only as a freshman. He started on the infield and pitched. The team accumulated a record of 16 – 7 that year.

Kevin thanked his family, coaches and teammates, “with special thanks to the 0-line” for their support during his football career. He “especially” thanked his brother, Nate, “for showing me how to play the game.” Kevin also thanked the “entire Edsel Ford community for being great supporters of the Thunderbirds the last four years.”
