Justin was a three-year varsity starter for the Big Reds. He was a senior captain who won All State, All Region and All Conference honors. Justin was also chosen to participate in the Monroe County All Star Game.
Justin played varsity baseball in his sophomore year and varsity basketball for three years. He was a member of the Concert Choir at Milan High School for three years. Head baseball umpire for the Milan Youth League in 2006, Justin continues to ump games when needed. Justin is a member and Elder of Peoples Presbyterian Church in Milan. He was a member of SERT (Student Emergency Response Team) at Milan High School for three years and a “Little Buddy” at Symons Elementary School in Milan.
Justin said, “In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, going four-wheeling, snowmobiling, playing sports, and just enjoying life!”
Justin thanked his parents, brother, grandparents and other family members and friends, “for their constant support and helping me to become the person I am today.” He gave a “special thanks to my high school coaches, especially Coach Robb and Coach Gauntlett.” He also thanked his cousin, Josh, “for all of our pre-game phone calls.” Justin will attend Northern Michigan University on a football scholarship, “with my ‘best bud,’ Ced.”
