Justin is the son of Steven Currie and Karol Frye. He has three siblings and is the youngest of the four: Jay (22), Kaitlyn (20), and Ryan (20).

Justin started his football career in third grade in the Hudsonville rocket program. He played football for Hudsonville High School as a safety and running back through his freshman year. He continued his football career his sophomore year at Big Rapids High School were he was a member of the varsity  for three years. Justin played safety and running back at Big Rapids. He holds the Big Rapids single season rushing record set in his senior year. Justin will attend Western Michigan University and play safety.

Justin also participated in varsity basketball where he played varsity for the past three years after being moved up during playoffs sophomore year. He also ran track and competed in the 4×100 and 4×200 M relays, and the 100 M dash.

Justin said, “I would like to thank all my family traveling around the state of Michigan just to watch me play It meant a lot to me to have all your support.” He also thanked “my Big Rapids football family for taking me in my sophomore year. I have some great high school football memories. I also thank God because, if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have been able to do anything I have accomplished.”
