Jonny earned three varsity letters in football at Mt. Pleasant. In those three seasons the Oilers won 28 games, two Valley Championships and two district titles. As a running back and linebacker, Jonny led his team in yards rushing and tackles both his junior and senior seasons. As a captain his senior season, Jonny scored 24 touchdowns, and tallied 160 tackles, while leading the Oilers to a school record 11-1 season. Jonny’s performance led him to be named the Saginaw Valley Conference’s MVP. His other accolades include 1st Team All State running back, Saginaw News Dream Team and Morning Sun Defensive Player of the Year.

Jonny has also earned letters as a sophomore in baseball, basketball and as a senior in hockey at Mt. Pleasant. He earned both All Conference and All State honors in his junior season with the Oiler baseball team.

Jonny gave a “special thank you” to his family for their support. He gave thanks to Bubba, Coach Lefleur, Coach Dennis, Coach Avis, and Coach McIntyre, “for developing me into the football player and young man I am today. Coach McIntyre opened a whole new outlook for me and I greatly appreciate that.” He thanked his teammates, “for giving me the opportunity to play in this game and all of the memories.” He thanked the parents for all the hard work to help out Oiler football and he thanked the community of Mount Pleasant.
