Jon started playing football in Pop Warner while in the second grade. He played varsity football at Traverse City West for three years starting as running back and defensive back each year. Jon helped his team win or share the conference title all three years. Jon holds the record for most rushing yards (269) in a game at Traverse City West.
Jon received a varsity letter in baseball in his freshmen year and lettered in track in his sophomore and junior years. He also played lacrosse in his junior and senior years. Jon accumulated a 3.5 GPA during his high school career and will attend Ferris State University on a football scholarship.
Jon thanked his family and friends for, “all the love and support.” He thanked his brothers for, “being great role models” and his coaches, Gerry Angers, Matt Prisk, Ryan Nickerson, Tim Wooer, Jason Morrow, Rob Hofstra, Darren Frechette, and Lenny Brinson, for, “pushing me throughout my career.”
